Cabo Girls Night!!

So for those of you who know me know about the Cabo Grill. I worked there for over four years and I loved it with all my heart! It was like a second home to me. If I had had a choice I would have stayed there forever. But sadly we just couldn't make it through the bad economy and closed down this last December. I made some lasting friendships with the girls that I worked with there, and I missed them very much. So this last Friday I planned a little get together with my Cabo Girls. These were the girls who loved the restaurant as much as I did and put there heart and soul into trying to make the place survive. Here are a few pictures from that night.

Since it was Cabo night we figured we would go Mexican.(Even though none of us can find any place that gives us a craving fix for our sweet pork and creamy sauce) So here we are at Mi Ranchito.
From left to right, Shelby, Charlotte, Moriah(myself), Annalise, Breanna, and Kaitlin. We kinda seperated ourselves into groups the younger girls...
and us old married folk lol.

So there are a few more pictures from when we went back to my apartment and played rock band and had a dance party but I think the girls would be a bit mad if I put some of those up here :) It was so much fun to see everyone and to catch up. I love all of these girls so much and miss being able to see them all the time. But they did promise me that one day when I open up my own Cabo Grill, because it is a goal and a dream of mine to do so, that they would be my first employees.

Cake Fight!

So this is something that I have always wanted to show people, so that means you get to see it:D From the day that we got engaged I told Devon that at the wedding I wasn't going to be nice with the cake, and the whole time he told me he would just take it. What a load of crap! I knew he wouldn't and I have the pictures to prove it. My photographer Angela did such a good job capturing our cake fight. I am pretty sure that this was the cake fight of the century. There are a lot of pictures I know, but you have to see them all to get the full effect...

So we start out nice just feeding each other like normal...

But anyone who knows me knew that this was coming...right up the nose! (and yes I did start it)

But he didn't just take it like he said he would...it goes right up my nose...

And just for good measure we had to grind it in a bit, make sure it goes in the pores...

I believe this is the part where is gets in my eyes (I love the look on my brothers face, the one in the red shirt, they were all very proud of me for this one)

Here we are kissing and making up.... or so I thought...

I am totally oblivious but look at Devons right hand reaching over into the cake again...

and BAM! He get my again and it goes in my eyes my hair under my chin, EVERYWHERE!

Here are the chunks falling off, and look at him doesn't he just think he is so funny...(and this one even takes my vale off)
But you know me, I won't just take it, I had to fight back so he gets another one right to the face!

Pretty crazy huh! I wasn't going to be one of those girls who is afraid to get her dress dirty, that is why we waited until the end. Yes it was messy but so fun and such a good memory. I am so glad we did it.
It was so bad that when we got to our hotel in Park City we were picking it out of each others hair, it was in our ears, under my chin, in his eye brows, cake everywhere! But like I said lots of fun and a good memory :D

Welcome!!

So...here goes. I am officially starting a blog...yay! Umm Im not sure exactly what to write quit yet but this blog has been made for a week and I still haven't posted anything so I figured it was about time. I will do my best to keep everyone updated on the life of the Kaplars :D I guess maybe I could start with an introduction. My husband Devon and I have been married for just over 7 months. We've known each other for a while, all thanks to the good ol Cabo Grill (oh how I miss it!!) We started dating last April. Devon was just a rather flirtatious and persistant customer and to get him off my back I decided to go out with him. Look where that got me!! Our first date was April 18th and there have only been 4 days since that first date that we haven't been together. Cheese ball I know but I am very proud of that :) Within the first week of dating I knew that this was the boy that I was going to spend eternity with. And two months later he asked me to be his. And so here we are.

So I say welcome to my blog and in a way welcome to our life. I hope you love it as much as I do!
